Prudent Reviews readers/viewers are 1) homeowners actively shopping for new products for their homes, and 2) homeowners trying to solve a problem or get an answer to a question they have about cleaning, home maintenance, or cooking.

What We’re Looking For

We recently launched our YouTube channel and are looking to hire an energetic, detail-oriented, and creative video script writer to transform our in-depth written articles into video scripts.

We have extremely high editorial standards and expect each video to be engaging, professional, and more helpful than every other video on the topic.

Qualifications

• Can deliver at least one 1,200 to 2500-word video script per week.
• Ability to adhere to a detailed editorial guide.
• Experience conducting original reporting and research for product reviews, comparisons, and buying guides.
• Excellent communication and project management skills in a remote work environment.
• Ability to accept feedback and adjust, working with Editors on up to two rounds of edits.
• Bachelor’s degree in writing or English is preferred.
• Experience writing scripts for YouTube (or equivalent) preferred.

How The Process Works

• Within the application, I ask you to complete one unpaid script. I provide detailed instructions with examples and best practices. I will not consider applicants who do not complete the test outline.
• I will respond to final candidates with additional information about the website and processes.
• If we are both satisfied with the partnership, I will set you up with a backlog of script topics that you can work on at your leisure. I’ll need one per week, but you can do four one week and then take a month off.

Other Details

• The scripts, including the unpaid test script, will be used to produce videos that will be published on YouTube, various social media platforms, and PrudentReviews.com under my name. You are a ghost writer and will NOT be credited.
• Scripts produced with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT or other similar programs will not be accepted.
