Duties:

Lead: *Recruit and train sufficient qualified testing personnel for special testing
events. *Organize work schedule for testing staff including, but not limited to, test proctoring and access to professional development
workshops and training sessions. *Oversee staff testing certification and licensure, and ensures that staff follow all testing center
protocols in regards to federal, state, and institutional policy, rules, and regulations.Essential

Coordination and Communication:
*Work with LC Director to schedule and maintain testing center hours of operation; also work with campus community to expand testing
services as needed. *With guidance from the LC Director, define testing center objectives, priorities, and deadlines. *Monitor KPC testing
center webpage for accuracy. *Provide quality testing customer support to students, staff, faculty, administration and the community.
*Collaborate with KPC departments and the two other KPC campuses, UAA, and local and online testing resources to ensure needed information
is shared. *Serve as a liaison between vendors and KPC Testing Center.Essential

Technical Support: *Provide technical support to
proctors and testers. *Maintain adequate inventory of computer equipment, headphones, and other related technologies to keep the testing
center in working order. *Communicate software installation and computer maintenance needs with IT.Essential

Test Center
Administration: *Responsible for daily testing center operations including scheduling professional and academic testing, and proctoring
tests. Arrange testing community locations when necessary. *Maintain appropriate testing certifications including but not limited to Pearson
VUE, Accuplacer, PSI, Data Recognition Corp, Education Testing Services, State of Alaska, and SAT/ACT. *Monitor/maintain adequate level of
Accuplacer testing units for Kenai River Campus (KRC), Kachemak Bay Campus (KBC), and Resurrection Bay Extension Site (RBES). *Interpret and
apply testing company regulations as well as federal, state, and institutional policy, rules, and regulations related to testing center.
*Maintain records and usage reports, data compilation and analyzation, test and student file security systems, vendor security reports,
monthly and year-end reports, and invoicing. *Review and update testing center contracts, policies and procedures annually, or as needed.
*Pursue new national testing opportunities for KPC Testing Center in keeping with academic mission, scheduling, and space constraints.
*Troubleshoot for technical, testing, and documentation issues. Troubleshoot customer service complaints. Keep Learning Center Director
(supervisor) informed as necessary. *Work schedule to include 1-2 evenings/week and occasional SAT/ACT Saturday test dates.Essential

Knowledge of proctoring best practices; test and facilities security and test
management.

Working knowledge of computer information systems and applicable software and programs.

Ability to comprehend
written material and interpret and apply policies, rules, and regulations.

Ability to work successfully independently and as a member
of a team.

Ability and willingness to work 1-2 evenings/week and occasional SAT/ACT Saturday test dates.

Must be comfortable
working alone in a quiet testing environment for long periods of time.

Typical Experience:

Minimum of
one year of experience of office/administrative experience relevant to exam proctoring.

Preferred:
Experience
conducting standardized and high-stakes testing as a test proctor.

Demonstrated experience with various testing vendors and
internet-based testing sites, such as PearsonVue and PSI. Experience analyzing data and creating reports.

Required
Education or Training:

Minimum one year of college and one year of office/administrative experience relevant to exam
proctoring, or combination; high stakes certification and licensure testing administration: must be able to obtain multiple certifications
within 30 days for PSI, PearsonVue, College Board, and any other testing vendor to testing center works with that may require certification.

Must have a valid AK driver’s license to occasionally drive to various sites for test administration.

Salary
Information:

This is a part-time, 12-month, non-exempt staff position starting in December 2022. It will be 24 hours per week with
increased hours during peak enrollment periods and finals weeks.  UA employees receive excellent benefits including participation in State

New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary
schedule
, Grade 78, beginning hourly wage of $23.84, based on education and experience.

The Test Center Administrator is responsible for the daily testing center operations including scheduling professional
and academic testing, proctoring tests, and serving as a team lead for temporary testing staff. The succussful candidate will collaborate
with departments within KPC, the other KPC campuses and UAA, as well as testing companies.

The Testing Center is a part of the KPC’s
Learning Center Department and has the facilities to provide test proctoring service for both paper-based and computer-based tests. In
addition to student testing, the Testing Center also proctors specialized, national, and other non-UAA tests.

  • Official test site and
    clearinghouse for computer- and paper-based national exams (PSI, PearsonVue, etc.)
  • Make-up exams for on-campus courses may also
    be proctored in the Testing Center
  • Distance Learning testing site (proctored)
  • GED testing

This position is a
term-funded position and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University’s discretion.
